Amy Remick

"I’m grateful everyday for the trust and continued business of our amazing guests. Let’s see what’s next."

I’m Amy, and I opened my first salon in 2013. Never in a million years did I think I’d own a business. It was something that came about after years of working in an industry that I sometimes felt put people in boxes.

I wanted to create a salon where everyone could come and feel comfortable—a beautiful space filled with good people, where our guests could become their best selves or simply leave feeling a little better than when they walked in.

I love blonding, balayage, brunettes, and gingers. Textured hair, straight hair, curly cuts—I love it all, and I love that this industry gives me the opportunity to constantly learn and grow alongside our staff year after year.

Owning Hart & Harlow and The Arsenal has allowed that original vision to grow into something I’m incredibly proud of. Beyond creating beautiful spaces for our guests, we are creating places where creatives can build careers and businesses of their own. It truly fills my cup to continue mentoring and encouraging the people who work alongside me, helping them develop their skills, confidence, independence, and ultimately become strong, successful business owners.

One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is watching people grow—giving them the tools and mentorship they need, then watching them take what they’ve learned and make it their own. I’m incredibly proud of the people who have grown within our spaces and of the community we continue to build together.

I love fall, and Christmas, can make a mean charcuterie board, and believe in ride-or-die friendship—all in or all out. I have an amazing dog, partner & love of terrible shark movies. I love sci-fi and read a lot. Like a LOT. I thrive in chaos ( think you ADHD ) and I am amazed every day at how amazing people can be if you just give them a chance and look. I’m inspired by the incredible female business owners I am lucky to know throughout Metro Detroit every day.

More than anything, I’m proud to continue working alongside my amazing staff, our guests, and this community. I genuinely love these businesses, these people who make them what they are, and getting to see what we build next. Together.
